getting the same finish on ali and grp

im almost at the stage of painting, now i have ali side panels and grp rear, scuttle nose and arches, but want it all in one colour rather than half bare half coloured.

my question is do i need to do anything specific to get the same finish on the ali as i do on the grp or am i just worried about nothing

thanks in advance
chris

polish up the ali and have the car half and half, it looks class, sides arn't polished in this pic at the sva centre and it still looks class.

Use an epoxy etch primer, the data sheet which comes with it will reccomend what grit abrasive to use on each material for optimum adhesion / finish.

Two pack is the closet finish to GRP you can get as it is very shiny giving off a slightly plasticy look , it is poisonous though.
