Insurance - FJ v 2Gether insurance

During my build I had my car (Aries Locoblade with Aprilia RSV Mille) insured with FJ for the princely sum of £49/year. Now I've passed SVA I've just rung for an on-road quote. Now, to set the scene, I am not young, I have a clean licence and another car. The car has an immobiliser and is garaged. FJ wanted the thick end of £500 for 3000 miles/year (sorry, the Aprilia engine attracts a bit of a premium for some reason) so I rang 2Gether and have just got the same level of cover for £200 (and the same apology that the Aprilia attracts a bit of a premium!!). Another vote for 2Gether and apparently I'm supposed to say that Colin is THE top bloke there to deal with!

2Gether have sorted out the issue I had with the incorrect start date which I posted a few days ago

However, when I purchsed the policy they didn't mention that the car is only covered 3rd party and with no theft cover from 10pm-6am unless its safely locked in my garage.

Not a major issue as I rarely use the car at those times (maybe never have) but it wasn't made clear. Check the policy wording!

Theft Cover

To Clarify...

The Theft Cover endorsement if applies relates to when the car is at HOME or the address that you have specified as the garaging address.

If you havent specified Garaged it wont apply at all.

We appreciate if you are at a meet or visiting people or on a trip whatever that you not going to Find a garage to put her in.

For more clarification please give 2Gether Insurance a call on 01945 465508

Cheers

Gary
