The Robin Hood S6 was like that, they called it a "barrell back"

I called it "ugly", but then it's just my opinion.

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

I like it! Not much on luggage space, tho' (if that matters).

Lots of ways to do the rear if you're not afraid of GRP, this being the easiest-looking that I've seen.

Interesting that the rear is higher than the usual Locost. IMO, even just raising the rear deck helps the looks a bunch.

Where's the fuel tank going to fit? It looks like the automobile answer to the bungalow.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

it'll fit nicely over the rear axle, should be better protected in rear impact (ooo-er)

and remember, this is early sketch of the idea, by no means a design

true enough, i'm not sure about the hight, but i think either like that, or about the same level as the side panels/floor will work best

And I thought this forum had stooped as low as it could go.

Funny stuff yes, rude stuff within reason...

But this hammers down all decency and craps on it's grave.

So much for it being a f*cking car building community forum.

It's turning into a pile of shite.

Give me a shout when it's back to being half normal.

Seriously, it looks very much like a 1930's Riley, the Gamecock I think, perhaps a google search?

Oh, when I was speaking of deck height before, I meant the top, where the roll bar mounts. I think some Locosts looks a bit 'squatty'. The SPD may kill you, but they have a nice sense of esthetics. Have you seen the Snake?

Are you going for vintage or modern? How about a torpedo with cycle fenders?

i'm going for modern-ish

the story so far.

all round i like the locost/seven style, but i'm not keen on the back end, and wasn't keen on the higher ground clearance at the back

very nice, but not the one I was thinking of. There was a kit/replica available a few years ago with a rounded rear end, the design looked very balanced

Noddy And Big Ears!!!

I prefer the 1st one with perhaps an inch added at the bottom.

I think Noddy and his friends would too!!

Here in the Land of No Sevens a green and aluminum car is stunningly original and creative Can't make up my mind between Triumph Racing Green, MG Brooklands Green, or 1950's Jaguar Dark Green (think D-Type).

Agreed with Dave, #1 plus an inch would look good.

talking about SPD having good asthetics. Didnt they use MK bodywork, or did they make that themselves?
