Replacement Windscreen Glass
Has anyone found a sensibly priced supplier of laminate windscreen glass [preferably in London]?
I phoned Autoglass who told me £220 to get a small piece cut. I've tried a couple of other windscreen suppliers and the cheapest I can get is
£120 plus VAT for a replacement pattern Caterham screen, which mine is.

Just spoken to the local double glazing place who said they'll cut one for about £35.
Result!

Sweet! Where's that (for future reference!!)?. I had to shlock down to Caterham spares on the train to get mine and spent a rather scary 50
minutes on the way back hoping no-one was going to walk into it!!

It's Nolan Glass in Edgware.
I'll be taking the old screen up there tomorrow as a template so I'll let you know how I get on.

Excellent! Edgware's a lot easier to get to too and £35 sounds much better than £100 (or whatever it was I ended up paying).... all the places
round here wouldn't go near the laminated stuff....

Fortunately I passed in 2006 so not necessary!
