Polycarbonate Windscreens

I'm aware of them being used as side-screens and rear-screens, but as a wind-screen???

i think this is going to be a "towing dolly" argument because when I was swapping out the glass in my capri for polycarb I was told by the suppliers and the owners forum that windscreens categorically HAD to be glass.

Nascar guys use it then cover it with thin tearoffs to protect it, scratches easily and turns opaque if Polarized sunglasses are worn.
Wipers would ruin it in short order. The schools tried it some years ago to prevent broken windows, soon scratched, and the muppets found that it burns nicely.

A polycarb windscreen isn't legal for the road as I understand it - I believe the regs call for laminated glass with all the correct markings.
For the track it depends on the series regulations I'd expect.

It is possible to get small runs of windscreens made, but they cost the earth.

I wouldn't consider it for a windscreen, IMHO it wouldn't last five minutes and would be very difficult to see through in no time at all.

MR MOT Tester doesn;t check the Marks only my SVA/IVA. so technically any laminated glass will do as long as it is right grade.

Scot's do it better in Kilts.

Charlie Broomfield uses one on his rover in PPC, takes it off for MOT and doesn't use wipers, just rain-x/rainex/however you spell it

That's what I read in PPC anyway
