rally design wingstays
has anyone else out there fitted rally design wingstays ?
(cortina hub fitment)
i am having problems with mine one of the mounting tubes is at least 8mm out of alignment with no obvious way of correcting it. even if i bent the
tube over there would be no way the bolt will pickup the thread correctly in the upright so i don't want to try that.

Hello
I cut the mounting tubes down so the stays sat close to the hub and straight, seemed to work alright.
Sold the car so no pictures sorry.

Ive got a new pair, I think they will be going on the bay next week and I will make some to measure
If you cut the tubes down what did you do about the plate that bolts to the bottom ball joint ?
Mine are a couple of mm out but I think you could "tweek" them.

cutting the tubes down won't help i think. with the tubes at normal length the stays are dead upright so any shortening of the tubes will alter
that and as wasa has pointed out what about the bottom mounting plate?
i have emailed rally design asking if these are a bad batch i will be sending them back for a better set or a refund i think. from looking at them i
see no way of easily fixing them. ideally the one tube that is imo incorrectly positioned would need removing and fixing in correct position no easy
task.

you can see how much out the tube is of alignment.
Wasa is this the same prob your set has?

Sent the wingstays back to rally design yesterday so will see what they say, but it looks like they will exchange them no problem
