Clear lacquer
Afternoon all.
I could do with going over some airbrush work on a few bits of fibreglass, with a clear coat of lacquer of some sort.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a goo dproduct to work with. I could do with it being non yellowing, and if possible, not requiring any air
fed masks, filtration etc (i.e. isocyanate free).
The usual petrol/diesel proof finish would be really useful too

Ask your paint supplier for a 1 pack ready to use clear coat.
I can't remember the brand I use, will add it when I get home and can see the tin.
In fact I've probably for 75% of a Litre tin I opened 4 weeks ago, if you want to pay the postage you can have it.

Any paint supplier should be able to supply a 1K laquer that will do the job perfectly and doesnt need any special masks (unlike 2K - although those
who are happy breathing in Isocyanates will tell you 2K is ok to use too!!).
Its not dear, doesnt need any mixing, and works fine with my own airbrush. I've got a litre of it here which wasnt expensive - less than £15
anyway.

Modern 2 pack paint is very safe as all the toxins have now been removed, at worst a respirator type mask needs to be worn. If you only need a small
amount get a 2 pack aerosol made. They have a button on the bottom that you bang, shakes for 2 mins then paint, very simple.
