supports for front wheel arches!

Hi-de-hi one and all,
the task for this weekend 's as above really,the front wheel arches!
what what size steel have you used?
was thinking of using tube for prettiness then flattening it down for the support section!
what size would suitable?

I would use tube and flat bar welded into it. If you flattent the bar it softens it and I will pretty much guarantee that they will snap due to the vibrations. I speak from experience

Bent mine out of a length of conduit, the steel suppliers was shut and I had a length of conduit knocking around !!
Drilled and rivnutted for the guard mount, they are very sturdy and I can actually sit on my mudguards with no ill effect.
Let me know and I'll up some pics if required.
