Bumper design for 7
I need bumpers to pass my provincial inspection. Design ideas welcome. I have not found anything in my searches so far.
They do not need to be sturdy!!

Dax do this quite neat bar inside the nosecone....? Is that the sort of thing?
Could you integrate something with Dax's indicator bars and argue they were impact absorbing at inspection time maybe?
Dont know the details of the regulations of your inspection but thought it might be of interest.

A start. My inspector was not budging on the idea that the Caterham dealer here in Canada uses, in that the nosecone is good for a 5 km/hr impact.

How about something like this (crap pic, sorry!):
Piece of scaffolding as the bumper
2 angled brackets made from pref square tube
Fix with U clamps onto the lower chassis rails just below the nosecone

I have a lot of trouble visualising. I am seriously impaired when it comes to 3 dimensions.

I'm still after ideas! Much appreciated, even if I hate the look of all bumpers on a 7.
