BUDGET Spraygun Recommendation
Got some Amazon vouchers I need to use up.
Had a look on Amazon and they do the Earlex 3900 for about £80....is this any good for spraying my Fury?
Anyone any other recommendations for alternatives from Amazon?

All depends if you are going to do the Fury in creosote
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Preferably not...what would you recommend?
I have a 2hp/100Litre SIP oilfree compressor but didn't think that would be up to the job....

I have got a devilbiss Gti and Pri also have a mini sata jet2000 for touch up's wouldnt touch anything else.
to be honest you will never get a perfect finish at home but with a reasonable 7-10cfm compressor and proper spray gun it will be 100x better than any
result you can get from a rattle can.

I've got two de Vilbiss guns - one FLG5 gravity fed and one FLG5 suction. Both work well for me, and they're about 70 quid to buy. I
don't think there's anything better out there for the money.

I did mine with THIS Proper budget but worked well. I
have done quite a few things with it which have come out well.
They do a more expensive metabo on but dont think its much different to this.

Earlex guns are actually very good, contact Earlex technical to make sure you have the right nozzle for the job.

not recommended since the creosote won't give a good finish - it needs an absorbant surface plus it will really really stink.
check out the land rover shows - there you will find spary guns, cheap but not nasty at all, for £ 10.
I have 2 ; one medium and one small for touching up (oor err!!!) and both are working great.
you need a compressor and air line - B&Q, screfix, ebay, M Mart.
if budget allows, fit the quick release couplings, man, I could have save 47 hours by not messing round with a spanner had I fitted them ages ago.

In my youth, did a lot of spraying on old bangers with the back end of an Electrolux cylinder vacuum cleaner and an Electrolux spray gun like this
one:

didn't come out too bad after some cutting & polishing. Main thing is to get some thickness on there to cut back.

The Apollo Spraymates apparently get a good write-up: -

Certainly supposed to be better than the Earlex in a similar price bracket.
The only thing I don't know is they only seem to come with a 1.8mm nozzle and not interchangeable. I assume this is the reason they need more
"finishing" after spraying?

The first car I sprayed almost 40 years ago I used an older version of the Apollo Spraymate turbine system and it came out perfect. I used an enamel
paint thinned with white spirit and left it in the shed to go off for a couple of days before removing the masking. My mates at work didn't
believe I had done it myself it came out so well.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Where are these Land Rover shows. I want a spray gun for a first time user and I'd love to get into this...
