Offside mirror and the IVA regs

Hi
I'm trying to position my offside mirror in such a way that it conforms to the IVA requirements but I am way off being able to see in a direct line down the side of the car (Floor Marking A on the diagram on page 47). I don't see how this can be done on a seven without having mirrors that stick out further than the rear arches - ie unfeasably long ones. Has anyone found a stylish solution (or even a non-stylish one)?

Cheers
Dave

Since the line is 10m behind you, as long as the mirror is above the height of the rear arch by a bit, you will see line A by looking over the arch, rather than around it.

Thanks

I've done the maths and it should be easy to get the mirror high enough to see over the arch.
Sometimes it's really helpful to have someone point you towards the obvious solution that you can't see cos you're too involved.
Thanks
Dave
