Zetec ZX9 Carbs

I have come to starting my car for the first time its fitted with a 2.0L Zetec, the carbs are fitted with 190 main jets, its how they came, will the car run ok? will i need to block the air bleeds?

Not sure for a zetec but mine are 140 for 2l pinto. They were 180, which worked still but was massivly overfuelling. Having said that some will run fine some wont run at all.
If it doesnt run, try soldering up the main jets and then drilling them out smaller. Nothing to loose...
Then if your a perfectionist you could always go out nd buy the proper size jets that work best with your set up.

They may be a bit big but won't stop you running as they only come into play above about 3/4 throttle opening.

Yes, block the middle air jet as Dynojet does.

Make sure you don't block the air pipes that go in between 1&2 - 3&4

If your unsure give me a shout and I'll come down and have a look.

Not all engines need the air correction holes blocking off
my carbs have the hole blocked.
a mates car will not run with them blocked.
I have a 2.1 pinto the main jets are 1.7 and it runs a bit rich
my carbs are zx9r /E
my mates is zx9r B or C
