sticky vinyl on ali sides.

Has anyone used sticky vinyl on there ali sides? Will the exhaust melt it?

Vinyl will take quite a lot of heat we use heat gun's to remove them off buses, but i dont think the heat of a exhaust will do it any good
+ vinyl's don't look very good with time if you cut it the cut opens up in time from the Sun heat

I matched and applied vinyl to the RRR SprintR I built, and was told that this speific viny would be OK with the exhaust heat where it was coming close to the body...

I used it on my old car and never had a problem with it melting, although I did have a 2" stainless exhaust surround fitted.

Yes and No it won't. Stands up to stones pretty well too, mines been on years now.

We use soapy water in a spray / squeegee/ and a hair drier
where i work
It takes some doing to look right

i want to fit some on my striker when i get it as im not a massive fan of ali sides. Any tips or cheap places to buy it from would be nice!

Wet wipes or a spray bottle of water.
Get the proper squeege.....

Very sharp blade will allow the air and water to escape. Not noticeable if done carefully.

You need soapy water to apply the vinyl, so it can slide around into place. Don't worry, it sticks once dry.
