Suggestions Please
Hi,
just fitted a set of ZX6 Cards with a Pipercross Sausage filter to my Tiger Cat/Pinto.
Previously, I had twin 45's with socks. These just cleared the side chassis rail & I had cut a slot from the bonnet to accommodate them.
The new filter is causing some issues in that the forward connector (filter to baseplate) intrudes slightly into the nosecone but is also higher than
the nosecone/bonnet line. I have cut a slot into the nosecone but when I get to cut the bonnet, I will be left with probably only an inch between the
cutout and the front edge. As this projects down to the front spring fastener, I'm certain It will not be strong enough to hold without
splitting.
Couple of pictures below which should give some idea of the problem - has anyone got any suggestions for a simple fix (using this filter!)?
Cheers
Ray

you could most likely move the hole's on the mounting panel for the filter and gain your clearence needed by making a new panel easily done
will depend on trumpet length if fitted
