Advise needed please

Hi ya, just a couple of question that i hope some one has the answer to..

1 How much clearence do you have betweena cortina rear axle and the chassis, i mean the chassis bar that runs under the axle , When the car is jacked up does the axle sit on the chassis.

2 Are adjustable steering columns IVA compliant

3 What hand brake cable do you use with the cortina axle

im sure i will ask more as i go.

Hope you guys can help me
Many thanks

1) When I put a cortina axle in mine I put 2 bits of 3/4 box on top of the chassis rail, sat the axle on top of them then made the shock brackets to suit leaving 3/4" clearance when fitted.

2) Dunno.

3) Cortina.

1)Atlas ? you want to get your fingers around it. I modified my chassis with info I think from "Mark Allanson".
Under the diff ? I am sure the book says you cut that out and move it forwards.

2) should be no problem at all with the column.

3) a new pair of austin allegro cables again as per book I think.
