wiper angle

anyone had trouble with wiper angles?

I am about to fit my wiper system, but I don't like the way the 45 deg angle sits with respect to the screen - will it be ok or will I have problems using the wipers?

Any suggestions (except don't fit a windscreen etc !!!)

It all depends on what system you are using. The chrome top pieces angle the rocker boxes and come in different angles....

Just bend the wiper arms to change the angle. That way the spring will maintain its pressure on the screen.

Exactly! Does anyone have a source for some of these ferrules with the different angle? I see running into problems if I take the grinder out and submit it to my pot metal ones.

Wiper angle now sorted.

Finally SORTED! got some longer wiper mechanisms from Car Builder Solutions (65mm instead of 49mm) LINK

The only problem then was to find some thick - walled plastic tubing - I ended up using part of a pond waterfall tubing (two bits one inside the other) - honestly it was the only thing I could think of!!!

I then cut these as diagonally as I could, and now have a much better angle to the window - see the pic. ( I have also bent the wiper arm as Darren suggested). Rescued attachment better wiper angle.jpg

I ordered some CBS mini boxes too (not installed yet) but haven't checked to see if they are long enough for that. Yours look great!
