bright 6

just wired up my bright 6.....

as per the instructions....

all working ok, except for the main beam light.....

it is on brightly when main beam is on, but drops to dimly lit when lights are dipped.

When sidelights only are on, the light is off.

Is this what it is supposed to do?
If not - any ideas what I might have done wrong?

Ps the loom is bespoke from premier wiring.

One more thing - can't reply to replies until tomorrow evening - (12 hour shift tomorrow.)

Thanks for info in advance....

It should be off when the main beams are off. I'd check that you have good earths for your lights

Sounds like you are back feeding the main beam with something. Are you sure you have the correct earth pins wired on the bulbs themselves?

I had the same thing on mine. It turned out that the 3 pins on the headlight bulb were wired to the incorect pins on the bulb.

well, guys - sounds like a bit of incorrect wiring - going to re-visit all the info I have and double - check - especially earths.

Thanks for your efforts, will let you know what I find (when I find it!)

Regards, Steve.
