Coolant expantion tank

Hi ya

Not sure what my rad was originally out of but i have one inlet and one out let as you would expect. Now i also have a little bore pipe coming out just above the filler neck with a presurised cap.

I will obviously attach a hose to the small pipe then lower it in to the bottom of a bottle.

I asume the water will then be released into the bootle and then drawn back in to the radiator.

Now the question is

Does it matter wether i mount the bottle lower than the radiator cap or not? as from what i understand it works off a vacum rather than gravity.

Cheers in advanse

So long as the end of the hose is submerged at all times you can put the bottle where you like, as you say it's pressure-fed, not gravity fed.

That sounds good to me.
I will lower the pipe into the bottle so it is about 1cm from the bottom.

Cheers
