Spring rates for 2L pinto

Hi ya
What would be the best spring rate for a locost with a 2L pinto.

Not sure what rate i have at the minuite but my front spring seen to look like a banana and half way up the spring it catches on the shock.

Also where is the best and cheapest place to get them from.

Many thanks

Davrus

You need to think about the length as well. Why not take the springs off, measure them, then check the poundage (can be done with bathroom scales if you are careful and have some assistance, then you will have a good basis on which to choose the replacements.

Hi. If you want to find the rates of your existing springs you can use this calculator. You don't even need to take the springs off ther car....

Eh???? Whats going on here then. Where's the attach a file button gone?

Here's a screenshot anyways which shows the maths.

A lot depends on the angle of your damper as well. My car had 275 on the front and it was plenty.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
