word of warning st 170 manifold

tried doing my first winter upgrade today, fitting st170 manifold to 2.0l zetec, spent all afternoon trying different ideas to fit, not had any joy, starter in the way for one of the exit pipes, engine mounting in way for other, (removed engine mounting) tried shortening the 4 primaryies, still no joy, anyone fitted one to there locost?, looks like i should try focus manifold instead. eart 50 pounds this morning at work, looks like 50 pounds of scrap at the mo, we all live and learn. any ideas guys, thanks Andy

hi, using type 9 gearbox with cvh 1800 starter, allso noted in photos ive recieved, i have an extra steel member in my chassis that i added as as did not fit the y piece in the top chassis rails, i fitted one from top rail to engine mounting plate, this protrudes into 1 of the outlets from the 4 branch, will try to add photo to my archive to show what i mean.
