nose and bonnet vents

i have a small air scoop for my nose cone and a large bonnet scoop for the bonnet. but how have you installed the vents on the nose?
have you fitted them the traditional way to feed cold air in or like the westfield v8 nose which is the opposite way round to let the warm air from the rad out?
