Is auto sol best for my next job?
Hi all,
I hope all your winter mods are going well, or at least you have started!
So my next job is to prep my side Ali panels ready for me to vinyl them black.
I also need to polish up my exhaust manifold because it is tarnished.
So will auto sol do both of these jobs? I have no power polisher so it will all be done by hand.
Also I want to make sure that auto sol won't cause any problems with the vinyl.
Any cheap suppliers?
Cheers

I've used autosol on a little polising (dremel) mop on my stainless headers and it worked very nicely.
Not idea re vinyl- is it totally necessary to polish them?? Although removing the oxide layer improves adhesion with aliminium generally it reforms
blooming quickly, I'd also worried that autosol might leave something on the ali which would act as a release agent!

I'd have thought a good buff up with scothbrite followed by a thorough wash and dry would be best for the side panels immediately before
applying the vinyl.
Autosol is ideal for stainless exhausts, takes bit of elbow grease though if doing it manually. Having a decent sized polichg cloth helps as you can
wrap it round the individual pipes and then give a really good go back and forth - if you egt my meaning.
