Finally the bodywork is finished!
After what seems like forever and a day the bodywork is finished. The main bodywork went together without to much fuss but the bonnet was a nightmare.
If you don't like doing bodywork then avoid the WLR because the is a massive amount of it. Putting the SAAB B204 Turbo power plant into the car
was one of the the major reasons for the bonnet hassle but even without this the hood is one large lump of GRP and Gelcoat to mess around with.
But the bottom line is that all the effort is rewarded with a very sexy beast that keeps you gazing at it with that last cup of coffee after packing
up for the night. In fact long after steam of that last cuppa has drifted into the cold night air you find yourself still strolling around the shiny
paint work. Each different angle just makes the struggle feel a little better.
Shiny nose
Shiny butt
Well now it's time to jump inside and start the cockpit area and get the electrical bits sorted so I guess it's time to change forum.

That looks like some serious piece of kit. I would like to build a le Man style racer like that.
Congrats on getting all the hard work well finished.
Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

Ouch! Only just about handled a spray gun to make it SAAB racing white, chances of me getting that colour scheme right are slimer than a super model
at fat camp
Going for the SAAB Abbott Racing colours of ice white with dark blue or black decels. As Alexandra might say "Simple"
Omega: The workshop is a cheat coz it all belongs to my company. Which I just happen to run from home.... sneaky ay.
Does take a bit of planning, juggling and a lot of cleaning to make it all happen, esspecially at paint spray times!
