when do you get it painted?

Might seem a simple enough question but its a bit of a conumdrum for me.

I have ally rear and sides and grp scuttle, bonnet, wings and nose and was wondering when would be the best time to get it painted?

Now? - chassis rolling, less to mask, less chance of stuff getting oversprayed, however more chance of damaging paint when finishing build?

When its finished? will have to remove loads of bits and lots more masking etc , plus when its finished i want to drive the bloody thing!!

Somewhere in between??

It will be professionally done by the way not by me.

I assume here that we are just talking bodywork, if so I would recommend completing the build. Then just take it to the paint shop, they will mask everything that has to be masked and do the buisiness. How well they do the job depends on the quality of the paint shop, and the price that you want to pay, :-). HTH Ray

That's what I'm doing, however the temptation to keep using it is very hard to resist, I'm going in to year three on the road without a lick of paint anywhere apart from the back axle
