Windscreen Fixing

On a sevenesque, the windscreen seems to be fixed to the scuttle by Y-shaped brackets held by two or three bolts either side. I assume I would use penny washers on the inside, but would it be advisable also to reinforce the fibreglass scuttle sides ?

Yet to do mine, but I would think that as long as the screen is resting on the scuttle and penny washers are used on the supports it should be fine. I wouldn't think there is much side-to-side movement pulling on the bolts as the supports are normally pretty substantial.
