laser/waterjet cutting
I'm sure there's somebody on here that can do it but wanted a bit advice before I start to stalk someone , have just made an exhaust
shield and want to embed a long thin bit of ali, probably about 12" X 1.5" X2mm thick into the guard. I'd like some lettering cut
out, is there anybody that can give me advice about the smallest font that can be achieved or fonts that look better than others and/or anything else
I should take into account.
Cheers
Rich

Laser will cut even the smallest font, and the type of font is down to your preference.
When I want to choose a font I use Word. Type what you want to cut, enlarge, copy a few times, then select your choices of font and you can see them
all on one piece of paper.
Of course you have to choose a font where the middle of the Q/R/O/P/A/D/B's don't fall out!
andyw7de on here does cutting, he's in Motherwell, but there is a good place in Bradford, whose name I have forgotten.

Comic sans MS looks terrible
Aside from that, andyw7de is the man to talk to for waterjet. He's been spot on for everything I've had done, though I imagine laser might
be able to achieve slightly higher resolution if you want tiny lettering.
We've had approx 18 point, bank gothic font waterjet cut in 10mm ali at uni with good finish

As above replies, AndyW7de is your man, top quality at a very reasonable rate.
I normally email him an Autocad file and it arrives in the post within afea days.
Top bloke.
