Bonnet/Nose vents

Following my post yesterday concerning cooling issues I'm looking for suggestions on solutions for shift air out from under the bonnet.

Looked at NACA ducts which look cool but not sure how effective they'll be at removing heat. Likewise a nose mounted scoop might look nice but will it vent?

I'd love you to post pictures of what you've done so I can consider options. Did you make them yourself or source elsewhere?

How did you fix the grill on the nose cone? Glued?

Glue. Best to use sikaflex.

I bonded ally angle to the return on the lip, and used screws and big washers.

Ummmmm

You don't want or need any bonnet vents ducting air in

You need holes in the bonnet to let the air out

Yep, getting the hot air out from the engine bay behind the rad not getting cool air in is the objective.

NACA ducts are very efficient as inlets but don't really work as extractors.

Like tomgregory2000 car extractor vents at the rear sides of the bonnet work really well

Here are a 1950s examples on a Austin Champ

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it'll be a job for a hole saw, dremmel and wire mesh . Hopefully the second rad fan will control the overheating but vents will help and look pretty cool.
