Repairing Glassfibre

My nosecone is a Robin Hood one bought at a show as a slightly second. It has now started to crack badly at he sides and I think it is the gell coat delaminating from the mat. Is it worth trying to cut the coat back to the mat and then skimming with filler and repainting or is it likely to go again or is there another way to repair it? I think I know what the reply will be but worth asking anyway.

East coast fibreglass do gelcoat repair kits.

If you know the REL number, you should be able to get an exact match.

Grind / sand back the old gelcoat and you can redo it.

Best of luck whatever you decide to do.
