Scuttle mounting
I'm about ready to mount the scuttle, but have started to wonder what's the best way to do it.
I am thinking of putting some M6 rivnuts in the chassis top rails and then bolting the scuttle down. What have other people done?
Cheers

I used 4 dzus fasteners, they worked great, I was a little unsure of how well they would hold it down, but they work wonderfully.

This is what i plan to do with mine, dont see why there would be a problem as long as you use a decent sized washer to spread the load on the fibre
glass

I've done mine as described with 3 x M6 rivnuts in the chassis top rails each side. The scuttle is then bolted on with M6 cap heads and penny
washers to spread the load. It seems very secure!
I drilled the holes in the scuttle to 8mm dia. to give some adjustment which allows you to get the edges nicely lined up with the side panels.
Pics to follow shortly.

Has anybody who's fitted the scuttle with Rivnuts also fitted a windscreen?
Reason I ask is that I've heard (in other applications) of Rivnuts being pulled out of the tube. I just wonder if they'll be strong enough
once the windscreen is bolted to the scuttle and they have to battle with the wind resistance on the windscreen.
Cheers,
James
