rear light mounting heights

I am wanting to fit my rear lights but have a few questions. As my car is on a dolly amd around waist hight whithout wheels or suspension on am wondering how high to fit my lenses up from the bottom of the car. To conform with the IVA rules ect.

Is there anything that is just a no no position wise. I was looking to place them around 4 inches up and about 1.5-2" apart.

Thanks.

have you downloaded the latest copy of the manual ?

its got all the requirements for both the position and the visibility of all the lights

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/iva-manual-for-vehicle-category-m1

it could be tricky to work out exactly where the min or max heights will be without the car on the ground though...

Hi
Get your wiring virtually there
Then wait until car is on the ground.
Its pretty flexible anyway.

lights back
lights back

lights front
lights front

Good luck
