My Trials Car
A forum member asked if I could post up a few pictures of the car. Actually, I don't have many recent ones but we are using it to pop over to
Saint Malo in a couple of weeks time. In the meantime here are a couple taken in February last year in Finistère.
The car competes in classic trials, generally with my son driving and together they have achieved a degree of success and a whole lot of enjoyment.
The car has a rear mounted 1.9 litre Peugeot 205GTI engine running on twin DCOE40s. This was my first metal shaping project.
I'll post some more photos when we are in France.

Are all those body panels in aluminium, or did you use glassfibre for some of them?
Those parts which are clearly Alu, impressive work!

The answer is in John's archive, mostly hand formed by the looks of it

Yes that's right Mark, all the panels are in aluminium. I've started a new album for the trials car. I've got some pictures of the
wings somewhere. I'll load them on if I can find them.
And thank you Dick for your kind words.
The car really does get used and having the GTI seats it is very comfortable. We are now running 185 80 15 rears and the 306 2 litre turbo diesel
gearbox gives 30mph per 1000 revs in fifth so all very quiet on the road.

Fantastic John!
It looks like you make the most of it and the diesel gearing must make a big difference. 205 GTIs are frantic and noisy at the best of times

That's what I get in my Citroen C4 - in 4th gear!!
Thanks both for your replies. All of which makes that bodywork REALLY impressive!! My minimal tinkering with the Locost rear ally panel served only to
let me know just how skilled you guys must be.
