Powdercoat or paint?

My front wishbones etc on my MK Indy are chipped and looking scruffy. Over winter I am planning to refurbish them but unsure on the best option. I was thinking about getting them powder coated but then thought they might crack from stones etc and let water in so would it be better to hammerite them?

What would you recommend?

powder coating properly applied after appropriate blasting and cleaning should last many yonks.

This time, I had mine bright-plated. It looks great.

Powder coat and paint will chip with stones but it's harder to touch up powder coat.
