Any spray painters on here?
I have a question about a particular paint code for a Honda motorcycle. The paint code is PB215C Candy Tahitian blue (motorcycle), 3 stage paint.
Now i know the 3 stage is glittery silver base, a few coats of the blue until the right colour is reached and then a clear coat. The question
is.....what primer colour should be used?
I'm trying to repair a small area on the bike and will probably end up paying someone to do it properly, but thought id give it a try myself
first as it only needs to look semi decent
Cheers

The primer won't make a significant difference unless very dark, Iwould think any white, grey or beige would be fine, if what's going over
it isn't giving coverage then you'd need more coats anyway.
No experience with the triple coat system you describe, but years of painting clear over base
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
