Mirrors
I've got some bike mirrors (e marked etc) but am unsure if they'll pass SVA. The way I'd have to mount them would mean that they would not move
inwards with 10kg load against them. The SVA book seems to say this only applies if the mirrors stick past the 'extreme outer edge of the vehicle'
which they don't as the rear wings stick out furthest......please tell me I'm right or it's new mirrors from Stafford!

Not sure about the sva ruling but you could temporarily mount them with a bit of rubber or something for sva and then mount them properly afterwards.

from what i understand they should be fine, the way i read the ruling is the same as you, they are not the widest part of the vehicle.
i have seen others fitted with bike mirrors and that is what i am going to use

Forget the "move back when pushed by 10kg" rule - that only applies if they stick out from the widest part of the car.
For a 7-style car, fixed mirrors are fine.
But don't forget to watch out for issues of size, edges, etc.

10k load
I have bike mirrors mounted on my f/glass scuttle and although the mount is reinforced I think 10kg would break them off. They do fold in but the
swivels are tight.
yours, Pete.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Pete what bike mirrors have you used? . I would like to use them but cant decide which ones to go for. I asked at the local bike dealers but they have
none in stock to look at, but will order them in if i know what i want. Did you pass SVA with them? if not have they got sufficent field of view to
pass in your opinion.
Paul.
