Bonnet Vents
Hurrah, took the plunge on bonnet vents due to huge lump of iron producing vast quantities of heat plus two sets of headers burning at 500 degrees.
As you can see from the photo (if it works) I have added a pair of stainless steel louvres (Boat Chandlery) on each side of the bonnet and created and
turned the exit towards the windscreen to help suck the air out during travel.
The front vents were from a Rover 100 (Metro) bonnet vents which is above the oil radiator.
The test run this afternoon with an ambient temp of 25c resulted in a no worries average of 80 on the gauge with none of the normal fuel evaporation I
have experienced on warm days.
Not the prettiest solution but is certainly very practical in venting the problem.
And if anybody could tell me how to post the picture more than grateful.
