Finding a lo-cost fuel filler?
I have been searching high and low on the internet for a nice(ish) looking aluminium or stainless locking fuel filler...
The cheapest one I can find is £60...
does anyone know where I can find the "lo-cost" version?
Thanks.

Is there a kind of plastic generic one which will fit or do I just have to hack one off an old car?
Is it going to be SVA compliant

You can find boat fillers that are cheaper, not ali or stainless maybe but chrome or nickel. If nice(ish) or not is up to you.

Well, you did say "Locost"
A Halfords filler cap, and a bit of turning, drilling, filing and polishing....
Total cost £12

Thank you.
It started off as a blank, rescued from the scrap bin at work.
Whenever I, or someone else cuts a hole in a sheet I save the bit from the middle.
They come in handy for all sorts of things.

Mmmm, I think I know what's coming.
Lathe, drill, a 4mm tap, wet & dry and some solo autocycle.

Fiat Panda/Uno, cost 50p at a scrappers, came complete with the hose and lock, I added 6 stainless countersunk set screws and is shown in the image
with B&Q transparent kitchen cabinet bump stops for the SVA - which fell off shortly afterwards

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Mark,
Touble is not many of the cars at the scrappers have keys with them for the ignition let alone if its a seperate key for the fuel cap - nice work
though.
Mat what boat place did you get that cap from? and does it have the unleaded reducer in it?
Cheers
