Nice write up Steve...

I felt your pain.....

Oh BTW, my bonnet buck/plug is all wall filler/plaster with sealer/primer...no car filler at all.....

I'll tell you if it works......this weekend maybe..

Thanks Alan.

Its actually quite rewarding - it just takes so many little stages to get anything finished!

Even the write up took a few hrs!

I thought of using household mix-with-water filler too. However its about 3 quid (4.50 dollars) for about 1.5 kilos......and the 4 kilo car filler is only about ten quid. So it wasnt worth the 'risk' and hassle of mixing stuff up from a DIY store.

Steve, the wall filler here you can buy premixed...60 pound (27kg) bucket for 8 bucks (fiver).....that's a good deal..

I used almost a full bucket on the bonnet..
