Fitting Cycle Wings?

I've looked through the SVA manual, but can't find the bit I'm looking for. I seem to remember seeing somewhere that the cycle wing must stick out past the line of the tyre, is this correct? A lot of pictures I've looked at of other cars, have the front of the tyre sticking out well infront of the wing, is this a post SVA mod?

Also, I don't really want to bolt them on by passing a bolt though the wing, but don't want to stick them on and make them un-removable. Any ideas? How have others done it?

Thanks

Graham

i think the front of the wheel must not be in front of the wing not the tyrebut i am sure someone will put you right As for the wings i glued and fibreglassed mine sounds like you need "pixie dust"tm. to fix your wings
good luck with your build

The wing covers the tyre width on my car and finishes before the tyre radius but after the rim radius, if you see what I mean, pretty much same as everyone elses. It was never even mentioned at SVA. As long as it doesn't look like Ollie's top hat it should be o.k.
If you could bond a nut to the underside it might give the option of changing them.

yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
