hmm tried to put this in the wanted section but couldn't...
I'm trying to get hold off a straight cut metal timing cog set for an Essex V6. Does anyone know a site?? Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

You can also get them from a company called Gosnay's on 01708 740668 or www.gosnays.co.uk. That's where I got mine & it's been
great. Also try John Wade Developments. Not sure of the number but he's somewhere around Birmingham. John is the ultimate guru on all things
Essex & often has many good used parts at reasonable prices.

I spoke to Burton but they said the only available type is helical. Is that the case, what type do you have???

Why do you need a straight cut cam drive? Won't that just make lots more noise for no benefit?

yep you want a helical one anyway mate, that's what they are all like, the benefit comes from replacing the crappy cardboard gear with steel.
