i have one of these and to be honest i would not buy another one! Nothing wrong with it apart from it's clunky and a bit noisy. Next time
I'd go electric.

There's one on e-bay at the moment.
Not necessarily Quaife, but loads cheaper at the moment.
item number: 120071335242
I got the impression that the general consensus is that reverse gearboxes are not very nice. i.e. expensive, spit out oil, noisy, lossey, and add
vibration as the two sections of prop-shaft can't be oriented ideally?
I guess the plus is that you can do 100 in reverse!

the early ones were quite unreliable but the newer ones dont seem to suffer the same problems.

Noisey, yes, lossey, probably, add vibration, no, the 2 props are as easy to align as 1 single prop, spit out oil, cured with a catch tank...
They are a must if you want to race or need to reverse uphill for any reason (getting out of my garage for example)

You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

Cool been lurking on there a few years now under the username Perywinkle. Back in the day when I used to overclock my rigs as far as I could
