Dutton Melos rebody-modify?
Is this idea possible? Rebody this
Which is currently sitting at £50 on
<Fleabay>
to look like this>
A new SVA would be required of course.

anything is possible, its only grp, can handle quite well too.. looks like its got q plate already and a v5 so all you would need would be mot, not an
sva if you still have the same chassis etc
would be harder to get the backend shorter cause it will be on leaf springs, unless you change to trailing arms, blah blah etc

mmm After marshalling regularly on a hairpin at MSA hillclimb events - I would have to disagree. But then everything is relative I guess.

my daily driver is a primera, and im not an oap, so relative to that it would be great, but in all fairness i have had had some great drives in a
friends dut, she handles well in my humble opinion

Built a Melos back in the 80's, and did a few body mod's on it. Nothing major but as you can see changed the appearance quite a bit.
Melos
As has been said anything is possable. Would say that the Dutton chassis needs a fair amount of work, to bring it to a par with the se7en one.
Regards, Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

Dutton
I had a Melos , B-Type and a Phaeton, they where OK cheap fun motoring , I think Tim Dutton has always been a bit underated.
Seems a shame to cut these cars about and lose them , especially when actual Locost stuff is so reasonable.
