Top Gear --- time these yobs were taken off
I am getting fed up with the damaged being caused to our hobby by Top Gear. It makes the general populace think anybody with an interest in cars is a
senseless yahoo yob.
Every series they try and behave in a more and more outlandish stupid maner, giving the greens more ammunition to chip away at the hobby we enjoy.
I really dont want to know if the latest Merc gets to 60 in 0.001 of a second quicker or slower than its Jag or BMW rival, I really don't want
to see Clarkston turn yet another set of very expensive tyres into to smoke just because it pleases the 12 to 17 year olds who make up the vast
majority of the audience.

its not a motoring show, its 3 blokes who happen to like cars being dumb. A bit like painless jackass.

The 17 year olds certainly seem to be running that 'Billy boys' site going by the continual swearing on it. The whole car scene seems to
have become a parody of itself populated by loud mouth know nothings...rather like Clarkson indeed.

Clarkson, he does spoil topgear, I get the feeling he's just not that interested in cars!!but in other programs he's very witty. In the
documentaries I've seem him in he made them very interesting, funny and was an excellent presenter. Just a big kid at heart.

Not everyone can drive like an idiot, report about it and make it entertaining though. The one I'd get rid of is James May, he's a perfect
jerk-off. Hammond is harmless eye candy for the ladies and third-sex amongst you. It's a laugh for what it is, but it's not meant to be
taken serious... is it??

Even my gf finds it incredibly amusing. Its not about the cars anymore, its all about having a bit of vehicular fun and theres nothing wrong with
that, certainly provides some amusement for me when my gf remembers to record it for me
Clarkson makes topgear, I think he is very funny even though I dont agree with his political views, but equally i know people who cant stand him.

Yup excellent entertainment...
They do just go a tad too far sometimes tho.
The feature on the "Level Crossings" and old prople was brilliant!
But then it spoilt it by writing off what appeared to be a perfectly good Espace.. if it was a MOT failure then fair enough I suppose.
Dragging a portercabin along Ripping up all the runway/taxi area/ whatever was just un-nessacery and not really that entertaining.. surely they could
have got a real tractor pulling sled.
And Writing off that Civic was just absoloutley appauling!
P.s will still be watching next week tho

I've always been a big fan of Top Gear but their antics are starting to wear a bit thin. It used to be a car programme with some daft bits,
which was good. It's now become a daft programme with some car bits which would be OK but the daft bits are just ludicrous, not allways that
original and a bit too long. Hopefully the next series will be good again.

I don't think the audience is largely 11 - 17 year olds. It is the most watched programme on BBC2 most weeks. Overall, it is a bit of harmless
fun which I personally enjoy watching. There is plenty of stuff on TV which I wouldn't watch just based on the trailers - two things happen
though if I don't like something:
1) I don't watch it.
2) I don't sit at a computer telling other people that it is not worth watching.
If you don't like Top Gear, I don't want to know.

I think we're all aware of the "off" button on the telly, but I gotta admit that they are pushing the "motoring
programme" desciption to the edge of the envelope!
I watched about 10 mins, as I preferred Space 1999.
It would be nice if they did things that licence payers (as opposed to their 15 year old offspring) might like to see, such as articles on the
UK kit market (yeah personal preference). They could do a whole hour on it, and help a major part of the UK economy, promoting it.
Maybe that's just to boring for them!
I'm not sure I agree with BT, though I see where he's coming from
