Exhaust Heat Shield.

I have made a heat shield from 2mm thick aluminium; I have the usual edge trim around the outside.

I also have 50 25mm holes in the heat shield, do the holes have to have edge trim, or be flanged inwards?

Or… can they be left as plain holes

Cheers,

The Baron

Dont think you can leave them as they are as they will not be radiased enough, edge trim or tap them inward seems the only option.

ok, its staying off until I get a pass, I guess I just cover the mounting with edge trim, and fit a couple of nut overs.

cheers,
