SVA nightmare

well today was the day for my dax rush to be sva d at beverly set off at 6.00 this morning started by sending the trailer in pitch black through the fence post smashing the lights of the borrowed trailer good start, went to petrol station filled car up on the trailer and noticed fuel guage not working nice one got down to test center found petrol tank leaking had to drain petrol tank down to sender level where it was leaking from into jerry cans as you can expect i was quite embarrased as i was say good morning to the inspecter stinking of petrol as he waited until the fuel level dropped to be able to get it off the trailer.
After much running around and tinkering it passed i think by the skin of its teeth.

bloody kit cars.

Thanks fellas the chap was quite understanding and when he weighed it we put the remaining fuel that was in the jerry cans on top of the car to be able to get the weight which was 482 kilo .

You ARE lucky, I thought any petrol leak was an instant failure!

Interesting that you passed without a full tank of fuel. They tester must have good common sence.

You passed which is the main thing so verry well done!!!

WHAT???? I disagree, passing a car with leaking fuel tank is not a good common sense, it is down right irresponsible.

You were very very very very lucky.

My test almost never happened as I filled my tank on a slope and once on the flat before the inspection pit, petrol starting coming out from the top vent.

aNyway, were are the photos!!?!?!?

I suspect the leak was fixed before the inspector issued the MAC
