Windscreen
Having cracked the screen on my car, I decided I'll renew the whole thing, frame aswell. As I didn't do the original, can anyone help on
resources. If you use the Ron Champion method (shower cubicle aluminium channel) What size channel do you use? Alternatively I looled at the
lolocost site for bits - the pillars look a bit naff - does anyone do ali pillars. Any suggestions gratefully received.

If the frame is o.k. just get some glass cut using the old as a template. Should save a lot of hassle, and money.. Making up a frame is not the
simplist of jobs, and you still have to get the glass cut to fit.
But as he sayes ^^^ if it's a standard manufacturer and you don't want to build one best by a direct replacement from the manufacture
(might not be cheap, westfeild screens start at about 300notes)..

For pillars on the trials car, I am using 150mm wide by 6mm thick aluminium extrusion. This was a stock item at my local non ferrous suppliers and is
very stiff. It can be cut easily with a jigsaw. I used a coarse woodcutting blade with plenty of WD40 for lubrication. With aluminium it is important
to use a coarse blade to prevent it from clogging and jamming in the job.
The frame material that I am using has 3mm wall thickness which is needed to take M6 holes to fix the screen to the uprights.

To reply to Hellfire, it's a Burlington Arrow - a bit retro for you speedster petrolheads!! Triumph TR2 2l engine (1954 vintage).
By coincidence I see there are some stainless pilllars just come up on EBAY bid starting at £9.99/pair, I'll prob give them a go
