Alternative nose
What with all the hassle of front cycle wings (brackets breaking, wobbling wings, etc.), crap on the suspension, etc. I was wondering if anyone knows
of an alternative nose arrangement, say something like this, but with a more normal seven nose shape, maybe lose the bumper bit, but with the
wings moulded on. Ideally, it would also be a straight swap for the separate seven-style nose cone, and not a whole bonnet.
Thoughts?
Ideas?
Opps - sorry about the pic size - i stole it from t'internet

Hi,
If you want to go that way, why not go a little retro with clamshells. They don't move with the wheels - so more secure and still looks like a
Seven.

I think that could look quite good pretty much as it is, but maybe soften the lines up and fair in the headlights.
Ultimately, the more you do, the more you might as well have stuck a pheonix/fury body on.
But, it would make SVA a hell of a lot easier in terms of exposed suspension parts etc.

... but all the suspension parts are still open to the elements with clamshells. Also, I have got over-the-rail exchaust so I would have to start
chopping the clamshell on one side.

something like this but finished , obviously !
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/david.slater133/locosts2.JPG
it may all be coming off , since the reason for the full width front is for the big volvo intercooler etc , then you might say , why not a different
chassis etc.
fitting an NA 5 cyl 2.5 gets rid of all the necessary pipework , and being lower will fit under a traditional seven bodywork .
