Insulation
Been looking for a way to stop the clutch cable (and ultimately the bonnet) melting where it runs near the the exhaust headers, despite having wrapped
them in thermo-wrap.
Today's result - a 1200x150 sheet of fireproof soffit board from Jewsons for the princely sum of £1.50.
Tonight's job - cut to shape, clad it in thin ali sheet by turning over the edges then attach some 45mm diam spring tool clips to clip onto two
of the headers - job done!
Could also be a good way of insulating the footwell down the side where the exhaust primary and silencer run.
