Velcro interior panels on?

Does this leave them rattling about when driving? Otherwise, I'll glue or rivet as usual.

Sorry wrong forum. Should've gone in the one below!

If there is no sructural requirement then velcro is actually beneficial, there is no tendancy to chafe or rattle and the panel is easily removed for access. Trim panels have been retained on aircraft this way for years.

Just don't rely on the self adhesive Velcro - really sticky at first but the first sign of a warm day and everything drops off!

There speaks the voice of experience

Good surface preparation will minimise the risk of it debonding but in the presence of oil etc you may find the velcro to velcro bond is stronger than the velcro to chassis. Still it's easy to replace.

I think it is more that the glue just goes runny when hot - it has happened to me a few times despite thorough cleaning with alcohol

Hadn't thought of the heat/glue problem. Also, can anyone recommend a particular glue then? Also for vinyl/naugahide to alu. I'm using that on the tunnel top cover - I decided I wanted something to rest my arm on!

I found that good old Evo-stik was the best stuff - and not the namby-pamby solvent free stuff either
