fuel filler in the boot
My 3 wheel build uses the donor's fuel tank which has a filler cap straight on the top. I've put it under the boot which means the filler
is in a recess in the boot floor. It is easy enough to reach through the rear window without having to lean in. The filler itself is SVA OK. Is the
SVA tester likely to object to its location?
edit to say it is the filler cap further in to the boot. The nearer one is the coolant reservoir.

Either the boot or the filler cap has to have a lockable lid.

Well, unless the SVA rules on this have changed in the last 3 or so years it's fine.
Unless, of course, the SVA rules for 3-wheelers are different?
Cheers,
James

You sure?
If so don't tell the SVA inspector for my two tests Non-lockable boot cover, non-lockable lid.....

it doesn't have to be lockable, it has to be secure.
both words can mean the same thing, but secure also means it holds fuel in and doesn't rattle itself open as you're driving down the road.
that's what's required.

Sorry!
My mistake!
Been 2 years now since my SVA and beginning to forget the details!
Cheers,
James
