bigrich - 19/5/07 at 09:46 PMi have one in a mac#1 chassis and paul fisher has one in an mk chassis
i would say it is no more difficult to intall than any other bike engine.
i have'nt modified my sump and hopefully wont have any clearence issues
if you use a US loom and ecu to wire it up it avoids the immobilizer system.
the main issue is that of gearing as this engine is geared low internally so you will need a 3.38 or lower (number not gearing) axle to give an acceptable top speed. Mine uses a 3.21 from a freelander .

bpgoa - 21/5/07 at 08:40 PMI got a US loom and ECU with the engine .. so going to have a look at the manual and start to work out how to fit it all together... goint to try and get a 3.38diff (going to place a wanted...)
What would be usefull is to get some dimensions off a cradle ...a drawing maybe (please please please) with some arm lengths/ position in chassis etc...
Do you know if the clutch needs any work... do they recomend sump baffles etc
thanks...

zxrlocost - 21/5/07 at 08:49 PMmost fit a sump baffle due to the cost of your engine
look at some of the photo archives with any zx10r engines mounted to get an idea
bpgoa - 21/5/07 at 09:05 PMWho / what where....
I have been looking at the photo's... but a few dimensions and a sketch of one that works ....
zxrlocost - 21/5/07 at 09:29 PMade not many have fitted the zx10 yet
you could try asking MK etc
